Ibiza, a Paradise for Partygoers
Ibiza is arguably a paradise for partygoers. Many Hollywood celebrities, professional soccer players to nobles who make this island as their tourist destination.
The main language used by local residents is Catalan in various dialects. The population on this island according to 2010 data is around 132,637. There are interesting facts about the population of Ibiza, British punk musician John Simon Ritchie, better known as Sid Vicious, is noted to be a former resident of this island.
This island has historically been a contested land. Recorded the Roman Empire, the Moors (Muslims), the Kingdom of Norway and the British Empire once occupied this island. If you visit Ibiza, you will find many historical buildings that can be visited. Monuments, Museums, and Churches – Churches with high architectural values are scattered on this island. Even some parts of this island have been registered as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
Nature tourism and scenery are also other things that need to be listened to on the island which is also commonly called Elvissa. Ses Figueretes and Playa d’en Bossa beaches are interesting white sand beaches to visit in the south. In the North, there is Las Salinas offering amazing sand. While at Playa Cavallet and Aigues Blanques is a beach that is devoted to tourists who like to sunbathe naked. Cala Bassa, Port des Torrent, Cala Tarida and Cala Conta are also beautiful beaches to enjoy.
For the lively nightlife, this island is located in two regions that are quite famous, namely in Ibiza Town and San Antonio which are in the western part of the island. Some clubs that have been well known to the lovers of joy are Privilege, Amnesia, Space, Pacha, Eden, Es Paradis, Underground, DC10 to Linekers. The last club, in 2012, has set a record with the largest payment amount of drinks of 58.9 million. This record-breaking was done by professional Italian footballer Mario Balotelli.
Apart from Balotelli, other big names are often visited on this island. Some of them are Pepe Reina, Mario Gotze, Lady Gaga to rapper P Diddy, who often hold parties on this island. Ibiza is also very often included in the lyrics of famous singers, such as Jennifer Lopez with the songs “On The Floor”, “We’re going to Ibiza” by Vengaboys until Pink Floyd created a song titled “Ibiza Bar”. This certainly indicates that this island is indeed very special.
Because of the excitement on this island, many famous DJs are playing at Ibiza clubs throughout the summer. In fact, they often introduce their new songs on this island. World class DJs such as David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Benny Benassi, and Paul Van Dyk also color the line-up of the show every year. An all-night party accompanied by a famous DJ is really a tempting offer. Plus, since 2005 the island also held the Ibiza Rocks event which further confirmed this place as the number one party. Some of the bands that have played at Ibiza Rocks Hotels’ events are Kasabian, The Prodigy, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, to Two Doors Cinema Club. While this year Hannah Wants was listed as Ibiza Rocks 2019 filler.
One more interesting thing about Ibiza Island is that this place can even be an alternative for winter tourism because the air in this area tends to be warmer. Well, this island seems to be indeed always interesting from various sides and conditions. Even an art student from New York once wrote, Even those who come to Ibiza for ‘wrong’ reasons (to work) will eventually be tempted by the ease of life on this island. A little homework like taking a letter from the post office will turn into a long mission.
So, it seems that it is not excessive if this island is crowned as a real paradise in the world, because every side always offers advantages that no other place in the world does.
